my car is a c6 m6 about 3400lbs with me. on mt dr how much power will i need to run 9.9 or better? with a 1.55 to 1.60 60ft. my c5 was an auto. I know it will be more difficult with a 6 speed. setup for my c6 will be 402 stroker with f1 procharger. not yet completed. guys already running 9's just wondering how much rwhp i would need. thanks for any advice.

Yeah I think 600rwhp for a stick guy. I had auto 00 z28 that went 10.08@133mph with 551rhwp but that was thru an 8" converter.

Upper 500 to 600 rwhp with a stick.. If you dont know how to drive you can have all the hp in the world and not hit the the number .. I have/had 650 rwhp with an auto and ran a 9.2 where there are people over 800 rwhp that cant even get into the 9s.
Good luck!!
In a C6Z06 w/ 647rwhp, high 9s at 141-144, but if u shoot for say...934rwhp u would go 8.81@154.47mph:chug:

sounds like should be do able. my setup should make 800rwhp or more according to the experts. I will need some seat time with that much power. to feel comfortable with it. thanks for the input guys will keep you posted.

I think a well driven, weight reduced manual transmission with 60fts around the 1.47-1.50, at sea level with fantastic air say -1000DA could do it with around 575rwhp/520rwtq. Thats what i'm hoping for :) I got the 10.81 at 130mph down with 444rwhp in a manual with a 1.55 60ft.

its going to depend a lot on the driver and the setup.
most guys like myself need around 140ish traps to crack the mythical 9 second barrier.
my car makes low 700's on a DJ and tips the scales right at 3500#.

Here is a video (http://gonedragracing.com/gallery/displayimage.php?album=46&pos=10) of the car in the 10.0 index. The throttle is turned down to run in the 10.0 and 11.5 index's
I have since removed the stripes, so it is plain electron blue Z...

i'm hoping to do the same thing this year.
about 800-850rwhp
6 speed
3.73 gears
28 inch tall tires
with a 5000ft DA
i would really like not to break a third diff this year, so i'm going to try and do it on a 1.6 or 1.7 60' and save some parts
