I installed my moser 12 bolt about 3 weeks ago did the heat cycles and had no noise till i took it to the track and now it whines on decelleration any ideas??

3 times i have rebuilt mine, you are not going to get away from it. might as well either invest in a louder stereo or a set of earplugs or a ford 9 inch.

My 12 bolt has a little bit of whine anytime over 55mph. Nothin I can hear over the radio unless I am going 75mph. Only 450mi so far but no hard driving though.

I got close to 7000 miles on mine and many many trans brake launches and it doesn't make a peep...I'm running 90w140 oil too....

auto's dont seem as hard on them for whatever reason. my buddys 2000 ss cuts 1.48 60's on motor and his sounds pretty good, mine, i have yet to cut a 1.4 anything and it woulds like im skinning a cat everytime i drive it even after 3 different setups.

Is it a 33 spline axle setup? I hear it is more common on the 33 spline option.

mine wines a little at 55 mph...but anything over or under that speed not a peep. I also have the 33 spline with 4.11's. But from what I understand from Mosier the houling is normal with 4.11s and 33 spline. They will all houl a little bit.

Mine made noise all the time. Not bad, but a whine.
I also pulled it apart and talked to my parts guy, He said Moser was Def making a few bucks on there rears. The eaton they used is rated for 350rwhp!! That is it. Be carefull what you pay for. I was told this rear is the best, and as soon as I got traction, It blew and i find out it was a junk rear, put together by Moser. That would explain alot.

Well knock on wood but my rear has held up to a few 6500+ launches and is quiet as a mouse. no prob, noise, or leaking. ALTHOUGH i did have my boss set up the gears for me when i got it (he runs in the Outlaw class in a 66 chevyII in the high 7's...about 1600rwhp on a 26psi procharger...was out testing it the other day...5.30 @ 135 in the 1/8th )

my moser 12bolt w/3.73's was as quiet as stock. i have added 4.11's a month ago and it's noisy.i would love to know why the 3.73's were quiet and my 4.11's whine? moser told me my 3.73's should of been noisy,they were not much help.

my 4.10's were quieter than my 3.73, now explain that to me.

Mine is very quit, It sounds like ther is nothing in it. Oh wait, there is nothing in it, I blew the piece of **** up!!!! MOSER!

The guy at the rear end shop that installed my 12 bolt said its all in the gear cut and the set up.
