Default Can I use 8 rib procharger pulley on a 6 rib system?

Hi,
I got a C5 and all my engine pulleys are 6 ribs but may upgrade to 8 ribs in the future.
Planning to get 3.2 Reichard Racing pulley. Can I use 8 ribs so don't have to upgrade in the future? Does it work the same? I don't wanna save $70 (should be able to sell used one for $90) and perform a bit less.
Thanks so much in advance!
-Mike

Yep. I used the 8-rib crank on a 6-rib system for a while. No issues.

just remember that the 8 rib crank pulley is larger and when you switch from the 6 to 8 rib crank you will see more boost with the same size blower pulley
