Default 1998 fbodies

i have a 1998 Z28 and am looking to buy a tuner in the near future but all of the ones that i can afford (diablosport, hypertech,) are for the 99-02 fbodies. what tuners are there out there that work on the 98's.

I wouldn't waste any money on those. Do yourself a favor and save up for hp tuners.

^^^agree. dont waste your money on a hand-held programmer (light tuning). take the car to get tuned with software (deep tuning). deep tuning is heck of alot more responsive in performance gains

I have a 98 z28 w/ 155k on it and had a someone tune it with hp tuners, I turn around and run 12.9 @ 108.9, w/ an A4, ported throttle body, gutted cats, ans a slp air lid.....So let a tuner tune it with hp tuner.....You'll love it.....Also have them boost the line pressure in the trans, my car feels like it has a shift kit in it and will give you a whiplash.....

They do make hypertech for 97-98 ls1's, I use to have one. That being said, listen to these guys and save up for a real tuner or a dyno tune. I didn't even feel a difference with the hypertech tune. I just bought it to fix my speedometer after a gear install.
