Throttle Body sticking
When I punched it the other day on the highway, I noticed the throttle seems to be sticking. I popped open the hood and noticed the throttle body wasn't going back to the normal position. I pulled it back to it's normal position. I tested the throttle wire to see if it was sticking at all, it wasn't. So I think it's the spring in the TB, may be worn out and not putting enough tension on the wire to go back to it's normal position. Or the plates may be sticking inside.
I currently have a MTI aftermarket TB, so I ordered a stock LS1 tb on GM Parts direct.
Has anyone had this happen to them before to there tb, whether it's aftermarket or stock?

this is a common problem in the ls engines. the fix i was told at the dealer is to loosen the 2 bolts that hold the butterfly in with the throttle closed and then re-tighten them. all 5 of my gm vehicles have had the problem and their solution fixed it.

Mine has started doing this since I got my stock tb ported and polished. It only sticks right at first, but once I have pushed the pedal in once to unstick it, it doesn't do it again until I let the car sit for a few minutes. I have unscrewed and rescrewed the screws on the butterfly, but it is still doing this.

wish I would of read this before I went out and bought a stock TB, see this is an MTI aftermarket, so I don't see why it would stick. I'll take it out the next day and try to clean it. I guess it's good to have the stock tb anyways, just in case.
