Any grinding for Prostars 15x10 4.5bs Any grinding required on calipers with 15x10 w/4.5bs. I have 15x10 w/7.5bs now with spacers. Don't want to use spacers on new rims. Still waiting on my MWC FAB 9, narrowed 3" per side. Wanting to know in advance. Thanks George

I was about to ask why you were going to a small BS, but id imagine yes, its the barrel of the wheel that is the problem with prostars. With my 15x8s and a 4.5 BS, I had to demolish my calipers to get them to fit.

I may be wrong but I"m thinking being a 10" rim I would have 2" more to work with. The barrel is not as small at the point of mounting. I'll pull my rims tommorow and fit these new ones on. Been to lazy and cold lately and car is also on dollys now.

I dont think it matters the backspacing , the part I have X'd is the problem area with factory calipers .
The transition to where its flat to welded is the area where it gets to small and we have to grind . My brake pads are almost gone and I still had to grind the heck out out of my calipers . If they only made the 5star part that gets welded larger they would be flat and not have the transition slope and clear no problem .
