Default New PB after header install

So two weeks ago i ran my 99 trans am m6 with a cutout and lid and ran a best of
60' 2.264
330 5.914
1/8 8.892
mph 82.62
1000 11.427
1/4 13.563
mph 105.36

Today it was about 50 degrees with a decent headwind and i now have Lt headers, 3 in exhaust with a x pipe dumped before the rear axle with no mufflers. I changed my spark plugs to tr55's and wires to msd's And of course my lid. My bests today was as follows, I can not launch still!

60' 2.284
330 5.799
1/8 8.665
mph 86.42
1000 11.096
1/4 13.155
mph 110.02

And

60' 2.389
330 5.899
1/8 8.741
mph 87.21
1000 11.155
1/4 13.190
mph 111.20

What do you guys think??

Looks like it's movin out top end. You just need to work on that launch and you'll be running high 12s without a problem.

No i had the lid and a cutout before but now have added lts, orx, plugs and wires. I have crappy kumho supras that are the stock tire size... I launch with the clutch barely pressed in and my foot on the gas at about 1000 rpm. Maybe i need to try launching another way next weekend. Also i posted this on my local forum and they are all telling me to go back to stock wires because "msd's suck". is this true? I can make a video today of how it sounds but i dont know how the sound quality will be on the computer.

Hmmm. I have a 99 Camaro SS with 195,000 miles. It's auto. All I have Is hooker long tubes with straight pipes, ac delco plugs, mti lid, MSD COILS AND MSD WIRES and I'm running a best of 8.241 In the 1/8th mile. I don't know what that translates in a 1/4 mile. Oh I am also running 555r's.

MSD wires and products are fine! They may not pick you up anything but they definitely aren't hurting you at all.. tell them they don't know what they are talking about... Your car is running great, you just aren't getting a good launch to make the most of your MPH...

I know my 60' was a 1.92** and my trap was around 89.** I think that's correct.

im running the same msd wires since jan or feb of 06 and shes still running great. lower ur tire pressure to 20 psi and try leaving around 2500-3000 rpm, slipping the clutch quickly but not dumping it. i realize every track is different but maybe it will help u. my best 60' on street tires in my 6speed was 1.83
