Sigh. Where to begin?

I'll just say this... www.advancedinduction.com

You're just blindly throwing parts at a mismatched combo. Bigger is not always better and, in some cases, worse.

+1...you should save up do some head work at the same time. Just by throwing on a BIGGER cam doesn't mean things will work properly or give you better power. Give either AI or Lloyd Elliott a call.

What you are completely failing to mention much less consider is the engine's rpm capabilities.

Assuming you have a stock shortblock you don't want to go over 6500 too much unless you rebuild the rods first with better fasteners. Within that limitation it is pretty hard to screw up drivability, don't get me wrong it can and has been done. With that rpm limit in mind you are looking at a cam that peaks no later than 6300.

All the major cam companies list the wrong rpm ranges for LT1 cams, my best guess is that they apply gen 1 rpm for duration rules and the LT1 likes to spin a good bit higher with the same cam. The Lunati you listed would probably peak around 7000 in a 350 LT1. Someone here tried a similar duration Comp XFI grind and it did not yet peak at 7000 which is about the limit of the stock pcm hardware, some guys get lucky and get 7200 out of it.

The 306 is the better of your two choices, but you could go "smaller" and have it work just as well.

well considering you're on stock heads I doubt that cam will peak anywhere near 7000
