Default Got tuned - lost my lopey idle.

I really loved the lopey idle I used to have, but after the tune, it went away, it even sounds higher than it used to. When I got it tuned, the sheet said that the stock tach could be off by up to 300 rpm, so I picked 700rpm idle, even though it looked like before the tune it idle around 600rpm. If I changed it to 600 would it return back to the way it was? Or did I just sound lopey before because it was untuned?

I'll probably be doing this myself with a cable (not yet purchased) and tunercats or similar. I really miss it, can I get it back? And don't say get a bigger cam, can't afford that yet.

The higher the idle the less it will "chop". The littlest bit makes a difference which seems like your case here.

Im sure they advanced the timing with your new tune which gives it more power but also makes the idle less choppy. Correct me if Im wrong.

You'd be surprised how many people do cam installs mostly for the idle sound. Not saying this is 100% true, but it sure sounds like it.

True. I install a cam for a benefit not a sound. Even though I think the thumper series is just for the sound of huge cam with out the poor diveability of one
