Sounds like he has an x-pipe which would be difficult to do on a 4th gen without giving up some ground clearence. I wish a had a video of my first gen with the exhaust on. it has 3" straight pipes into and x pipe and out the sides. Sounds almost identical. If i had the gmmg style mufflers i usually run it would sound like that.

Bassani is the only company that I know of that makes an x pipe setup unless you get one made.

I made the exhaust for my 95. I had hooker LTs, used the summit universal x pipe kit in 2.5" ($80), two GMMG style mufflers (www.sweet-thunder.com - $70) and just exited it before the rear wheels. It sounded awesome i think. The video the exhaust pops alot because the engine was cold. But here are a few pics of it. The car just had long tubes, ram air intake i made, and a couple other bolt ons, stock cam. Im sure it would sound phenominal with a cam. I have run Xpipes on every LS1 and LT1 i have owned minus this newest 94 which has Borla.

A couple pics of the style mufflers im talking about. They are the same style at GMMG mufflers. you install the the way that it looks restrictive. They are basically reverse glasspacks with no packing.
