Solid motor mounts on their LS1? I'm in serious need of replacing my motor/tranny mounts and I was thinking of getting solid motor mounts. I've heard so many mixed feelings on them...so I thought the best thing for me to do is experience them in person.
Would anyone be nice enough to let me sit/ride in their LS1 with solid motor mounts so I could make my decision? I'm torn between poly and solid.

What part of Lafayette do you live in? I use to have an LT1. No major mods, but still was a fun car.

I'll have to hang at Buffalo's again. I went once to meet up with old friends (Nick, Levon, etc). What color is your car? I'll have to look for you around.

I haven't heard any pros or cons with them, but I'll keep an eye for you rolling around Lafayette.

hey quinton whats up, its nick. i would go with the poly on everything. the solid will have alot more vibration. plus you will just see guys with solid mounts on full race cars anyway.
And I have heard that you do not want to put a poly on the trans and stock on the motor. suppose to crack the trans case. Keep them all the same. I had just the poly on the trans for a while and I had a lot of vibration; so i went back to stock.
you are putting that on the black T/A? I thought you sold that?

I actually ordered Solid motor mounts, and poly tranny mount Thursday. Worse comes to worse, I'll just take them off and sell them. I'm pretty good with putting up with annoying things and such.
Concerning the selling of my Trans-Am, you have a pm about that

Hey nick, its paul that had the silver GTP and the bagged white chevy.
I have a 96 Green T/A now that I am stripping for drag use and getting it running good. It missed and ran bad, come to find out the passenger side wires were originaly and #2 was cut from the a/c pulley and #8 spark plug was cracked. No suprise it missed.
