Default 6.0 swap

well i may be swaping in a 6.0 from a 2003 chevy van, what will i need, and what would i be looking at as far as power, or would it be cheaper for me to build up my lt1, and would i get more power from it, what is your opinion, please help

scroll thru the page's on here,you'll find all the swap info.and yes you will be better off with the 6.0.not trying to knock your lt1.....

so even with the cost of the engine, and what it would take to swap it in, ill get more power than i have now, i just dont want to through in an ls1, waist the money and have no more power

Do a search for LT1 to LS1 swaps on this site. There are probably hundreds of threads.

As for power. A mild cam only would probably compare to a moderate heads/cam LT1. So when comparing cost, remember you need to do a little more to the LT1 to get the same power.
