Default Question for you guys with bbk shorties!!

HOW THE HELL DO YOU CHANGE YOUR SPARK PLUGS!!

Lol. man I can't get to the plug in the very back on the drivers side. I havn't even looked at the pass. side yet. do yall have any tips or tricks?? Im in dire need of a plug change and i can't get all of the old ones out.



HELP!!!

You have to do it from the bottom. Jack up the car and get under there with a creeper, it will be much easier than try to reach it from the top.

Its not an issue of getting to it, I can get to it fine from the top. Its that the headers are too close to the plug. When I get home im going to try cutting the socket in half and then see if i can slide it on there.

Figured you'd just tell me to swap um out with long tubes and change the plugs then...lol.

take a 5 sided plug socket, cut off the ratchet end about 1/2 way and remove 1 of the 5 sides from the socket. That way you can put in on the plug from the side and use a box end wrench to losen THEN remove socket and unscrew plug by hand

or you can buy something from www.headersockets.com

yea. that'll work better then shortening the socket.

Im sure i'll figure a way to make it work.

the #7 plug is a pita but I got it from the bottom with a swivel ratchet.

Yes, the back drivers side needs a shorty plug socket to get to it...

Ohter than that the rest are all pretty easy... I can do plugs in about 40 minutes total...

got um all out from the top. to get to that back drivers side plug i modified an old spark plug socket. Shortened it a little and cut a slot in the side of it. I'll get pics of it up tomorrow.
