Default Knock question

Why would I get no knock on the unit in second and then as soon as I hit third get knock all the way through third?? Anywhere from 2.3 to 3.4 degree's. My 02's were anywhere from .940 to .960.

Car:
346 H/C,100 TNT shot, timing tuner with 4 degrees pulled out. 91 octane

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Glenn

It is posssible that you may be running borderline lean , and when it shifts in to 3rd your load values increase which is when it should richen up . The higher up each gear you go , the higher the load , the richer the a/f mixture should be ( about .3 - .5 richer each gear) .

Default Re: Knock question

hmm interesting. I am going to throw some 100 octane in this weekend and see if it goes away. It might be false knock even though I don't get it in third on the motor.

Thanks,
Glenn
