Default MAF Question

Does descreening my maf mess up my airflow,I've heard it will not read right and mess up my transmission,Is this true?Should I switch back to my old mafs,I have noticed a hesitation between shifts

Default Re: MAF Question

It can, if the air is not hitting the sensor
bridge straight and even. Different GM vehicle
types have different inlet tract geometries and
different air lids can bias the airflow
differently.

Try the stocker again and go with whatever's
better.

A MAF that leans you out will fake out the trans
a little, make it think it's got less load. Lean
makes the car feel snappier at part throttle and
people interpret this as better performance. But
it does not necessarily mean that true WOT output
is improved; only if you stay out of knock.
