cam bearing help

Default cam bearing help

well i pulled my cam out to find that the cam bearings are shot. they feel like sand paper and have brass showing. i know summit has a tool but does anyone have any tips or tricks for me? the car had good oil pressure and was quiet when it was running. i appritiate any help

Well I don't see how you can change the cam bearings with the engine in the car, but after you pull it, might as well take it to a machine shop and have them replace the bearings. One thing I would be worried about is that if the cam bearings are that damaged is...what condition are the other bearings in???

How's your oil pressure?

No, you can't change all the cam bearings with the engine in the car.
