Default How much can LS6 heads be cut?

Hey guys!

Nice website. I've been reading along the last few weeks and have been very impressed with the tech stuff. I usually go to Z06Vette.com, but this site is by far much more technical. Anyway, the question is how much can I mill the head. I'm not concerned about the piston to valve. I've seen the LPE/GM head is milled .055. Where does the head get weak. I read somewhere that these heads tend to have sealing issues when milled alot due to the amount of head bolts. I have cut my heads .040 and I'm thinking that .020 more might be good. I will be using ARP head studs.

Any info would be great! Keep up the good work Almost abandoned the solid roller cam until I found this site. Guess what cam I got now?

246/246 @ .050 with .628 lift. Can't wait to get my Z back together.

Thanks,
Randy
