i want t-tops
i'm sure it virtually impossible to convert my car to a t-top car. the only alternative i can think of is a sunroof, but most aftermarket sunroofs i've seen are complete ****. any thoughts?

virtually impossible?
there are dozens of threads on here and other sites showing people who have done it. it involves a little bit of cutting on the roof to remove the fiberglass top, then some cutting of the side metal pieces and then you install the weatherstripping, trim, headliner and finally the tops.
truthfully if you wanted a t-top you should have just bought one in the first place (thats what i did) but it can be converted

It's not super easy, but it's not impossible either. I did mine in a garage with minimal experience or tools. A sunroof is actually a terrible idea, because it involves splitting the main lateral support beam in our roofs.

T-Tops are thing of beauty on cars like ours. I was thinking of having it done on my old 95 TA that was a hardtop. Would've done it too if the damn motor didn't crack blow up. That was one of my main criterion when I searched for my 99T/A. But it most certainly can be done in just a matter of hours with the right tools, of course.

I prefer hardtop's myself as well. My first TA was ttop and I took them off all the time (I was also young), then my Formula was hardtop, and I have only had the ttops off in my SS twice since I have owned it.

Same here. I wish my Z28 was a hard-top so so so bad. I never take my t-tops out. Its not that i dislike t-tops, but there is something wickid/cool about having a hard top. mmm....
