Default Head Bolts/Gaskets....

Hey guys, Not trying to cheap out, my 02 T/A is under the knife, H/C swap and getting to the end of my shopping list, and money. Now to the head bolts..Anyone ever use or heard of Victor-Reinz Head bolts? They are on Ebay (of-course) for like half the money..of another quality name and you know how it goes..especially when your that close to puttin it together..same with gaskets, GM MLS, Cometics (ya I know they r reusable) or Felpro..same situation..FYI New Era StreetSweeper cam 236/240 and LS6 Heads with the fixings.no milling. Any input/experinces is appreciated tks.

GM MLS gaskets are $29 a pair from Scoggin Dickey. They sell GM heads bolts for $22 per head. Patriot performance also sells a complete kit of head bolts for $25!

^^^ Yes he IS serious, and yes they are that price.

Those are the stock head gaskets in a kit from GMPP.

FYI
97-01 12498543 - $40.00 graphite
02 up 12498544 - $29.00 MLS steel

make sure you pick the right ones

victor reinz is owned and operated by Mahle, which is responsible for some pretty bad *** equipment, so i would go with those if the price is good

Victor makes alot of the actual gaskets for GM if you look close at head and oil pan you can make out the stamping

They also make the MLS exhaust manifold gaskets. You can pick them up at carquest for around $15 a pair.

victor does made some good stuff!!.. ive used thier graphite head gaskets alot on my motors... but if i were you .. a mls gasket would be a better choice. and it wont leave crap u have to scrape off for hours if u were to take your heads off again....

you will prolly have the heads off again... so why not spend the extra 50$ and get ARP bolts u can reuse????
