Default Dam!!!!!! BAD OIL LEAK PLEASE HELP

Ok so since I bought my car 2 1/2 years ago it has leaked oil. I always just put a quart in in-between oil changes and it was fine not a real big deal. So I have been noticing lately that it has been seeming to drip more than normal it seemed like, but since I always park in the same spot in the garage so its hard to really tell because there’s always a little oil there. So I have been shadowing at this place here in town that specializes in doing lifts and various things for truck, and today it was slow so I pulled my car into the work bay to do a few little things just to pass the time. My car was in there probably 30 min and in that time when I pulled out I notices 5 or 6 good sized drops of oil sitting there on the clean concrete floor. I know that doesn’t sound like much but I got home and checked the oil level and it was at the top of the cross hatches 2xxx miles ago and now its about half way in-between the very bottom of the dip stick and the bottom of the cross hatching.

So here is where I need the help IDK where the leek is coming from..... I though it might have been the rear main, but I am not thinking so any more. There is a oil line about 1/2 inch about the oil pan all the way around. Also there is oil on the front side of the block all the way up to the intake manifold, but not near as bad as down by the pan. That oil dosent look fresh. My heads look good no oil leeks there it don’t look like. I know im being vague I am going to try and take some pictures 2maro and post them up so you guys can tell me what you think but something needs to be done here quickly im thinking. Because that’s a lot of oil!

You need to get it on a lift and just track it down. Rear mains are common.

Yep most likely the rear main seal. Go and buy some brake cleaner and clean the hell outta everything then next day look again to see where the oil is coming from .

There is a bottle of stuff you can get from napa and you put it in your oil and get a black light to track the leak from the highest point. I think the bottle is about $8.00

Hard to say on the internet. About the only way you'll know for sure is to put it on a lift while it's running and stand under neath it and look for leaks. Some pictures might help though.

Like posted earlier get some parts cleaner and clean up everything. Jack up the front of the car and spray everything that has oil and gunk on it, let it sit until it all evaporates, take a drop light and spend some time getting aquainted with the oil pan, bellhousing, front cover, cross member.

Before you drop the car down check again that everything is dry, no oil drips or wet spots. Drive the car for a week or so jack the car up take the drop light and start looking for drips, wet spots.

Remember the drips are just where the oil is falling off the car, look for the source. Could be as simple as the oil level sender, front crank seak or an oil pan that needs to be torqued.

Don't get fustrated, you might narrow the area down but still not know, so spray that area and dry it all again and keep checking, you'll get it.

The common areas are the rear main seal and the oil pressure sending unit

Just finished up cleaning all the oil off of it. I took lots of pictures so I will have something to compare it to after I drive it. How long should I drive before I check it again?

Ok well I got the car on the lift today and the leak looks like it is comming from just above the oil filter (I double checked to make sure it was tight and it was) and on the other side it look like just about the same story by the oil pan line there is also a bead of oil on the crease between the bellhousing and the oil pan. (sorry i didn't get any pictures time was limited.) I checked all the oil pan bolts and a few tightened a little but most were nice and tight. So what do you guys think? Whats my problem? If picts will help I can try and get some 2maro.
