Default ME vs cobalt ss

well driving down the interstate and ran across a cobalt ss. had run into one yet so i drove by him slowly and as im passing him he drops it down, and when i hear him doing that i hammered it. we started with his front bumper at my front fender and at about 55 and let out about 105 and only pulled about a car legnth between us. it had some kind exhaust and i could hear the blower. but i thought i would do better than that. has anyone raced these also???? oh and they are peices of ****!

I wouldnt call them pieces of ****. The supercharged ones aren't as mod friendly as the newer turbo ones. They can still be decently quick with some bolt-ons and a tune.

if they are peice's of **** what does that make your car seeing as you only pulled about 1 car on this guy. . . and even the SC'd ones can be nasty is they are setup correctly. buddy of mine has an 06 and its nasty from a roll. FWD + SC = no traction.

um that makes it faster than his seeing as how i put that car length there. thank you. and they still suck. if i could have dragged it out to about 130ish i think i would have got him by a 1 1/2 lengths more. but traffic tends to put a stop to those things. but i was suprised to see how well he hung. better than the average 20 lengths on a honda.

A win is a WIN!!!! Btw i pulled a car and a half on one from a dig and then left him about 3 cars when we left off. from a 40 roll it was about 2 cars shut it down a 120.

Good kill, I wouldn't call them ****. Those engines can handle a good bit of power from what I've seen and heard.

for the mods you have, i'd say he did pretty friggin well, if he had been stage 2 i bet he woulda been right at your door damn near the whole time. dont be ignorant, those LSJ motors can handle some serious power.

roll races in an auto... be happy you got that car on him before he shut down.
do you have a 3.23 rear? stall could help.

of course the next time around, that cobalt will probably spray you. my recommendation is stall and nitrous.

those cars can be quick. My friend has one and i raced him plenty of times. He has such a low 1st gear that he keeps up, maybe a car or so, till about 60 then when i hit 3rd, i start pulling on him hard

Judging by your mods in the sig, your an A4 without a Stall or Tune?? Correct me if im wrong. My question is, what speed were you at when you hit it?? Did your car downshift back to 1st?? If it didnt, that could expain the results somewhat.

A stall would help that tranny a bunch. I drive around town with a 3500 edge and from a roll this thing acts like a 6 speed. I raced one of those cobalt ss's last week at the track. I guess they are good on a roll cause I slaughtered him at the drag strip.
