Can someone say graphite snowflakes?
So I hate the snowflake rims with a passion but I'm a poor college student and decided to get some Longtubes instead of rims haha. So heres what I did to take some of the ugliness away. oh and i washed the car =P
took them off and primer'd them
after a few coats of primer, paint(duplicolor graphite wheel), and clear.
done and ready to mount
Yay, on the car, its cloudy out still so im waiting to see what they look like in the bright sun of AZ.
comparo of old
Overall it wasn't to bad and cheap to do, so I figured what the hell. I think they look better than just plain silver ugly ones.

wow that looks really damned good. I run the snowflakes in the winter w/ my snow tires. I wonder if a different color would look good on NBM; i'm always looking for new paint projects.

Those turned out pretty good!
I did the same thing with some 5-spoke firebird wheels, stripped em down, sanded primed sprayed and cleared. Takes some work but considering its about $25 for materials and the wheels were already free, it's a great bargin and looks much better than the stock ugly light gray color. Good job!!!
