Default I got slower!?

Hey guys last weekend I ran my car for the first time with headers, 3 in exhaust, x pipe and a lid on crappy tires. I pulled this in about 50 degree weather,
60' 2.284
330 5.799
1/8 8.665
mph 86.42
1000 11.096
1/4 13.155
mph 110.02

Last night i went to the track and it was about 70 or so degrees and even the though my sixty still sucked i could not pull times close to last week. last night i ran,
60 2.346
330. 5.970
1/8 8.902
mph 84.12
1000 11.400
1/4 13.505
mph 107,42

Could the weather have affected it this much or what ??

Your results seem a little excessive, but yes, weather will affect it quite a bit. Between 50* and 70* I'll see a difference between 2-3 tenths, and 2-3mph.

If you learn to calculate the DA each time you go out, you can compare and see how weather affects your times. http://wahiduddin.net/calc/calc_hp_dp.htm

a difference in humidity will make a huge difference as well, that might be part
also i know .1 in the 60 doesnt seem like alot but tats alot at the big end...
so track prep makes a difference
driver error
there are some other factors how much gas last week vs this week in the tank?
any other added weight in the car this time vs last?

Yeah, that weather definitely had a big part in it, especially not knowing the humidity. Your 60' definitely hurt the ET in the 1/4. Get some drag radials and have at it!

I wouldn't even bother heading to the track again until you get some tires. There's no way to even compare your 2 runs. A 2.3 second 60-foot is pretty slow. I think my 305TPI IROC used to do that. A good set of tires and you'd be cutting something like this:

60'= 1.80
1/8th= 8.00 @ 88mph
1/4= 12.30ish @ 111

If you had an auto it would ET even better too.

Between your difference in 60' and the difference in the DA, your car seems as it was running virtually the same. I don't think there's a problem with the car, but you had good/great weather the first night and last night would show for the loss of almost one tenth in the 60' and by the 1/8 you'd lost almost 3 tenths which carried out to the 1/4. Get a better 60' and you'll be in the 12's with some decent weather.

i went to the track friday with a set of mt et street radials and ran a 12.8@107 instead of a 13.0@110 on street tires. the tires made a huge difference. all i have is lt's ory magnaflow cb and a lid. its a 6 speed car with 3.42 gears and weighs about 3600 with me in it.
