Default New motor build plugs fouled question

I had about 60 miles on the car and about 6 heat cycles. Went to take for a good ride last night and could not even make it around the block. Found that all 4 plugs on the drivers side were fouled out. The right side was good. Went down to auto store and got some new plugs and tried it again this morning, same thing. Disconnected the o2's and left in open loop for about 10 miles. Put new o2 in and everything is good. Question is: Could there be anything I could have hurt by running the car with the plugs fouled on a new motor?? Like I said I only went around the block and there was a couple of heat cycles on the motor prior to this happening. Anything to look for? Thanks guys.

you should be fine, but you should figure out what the problem is that you're getting uneven fueling. Did you have any codes? Do you have a wideband in there monitoring AFR's? What fuel rails are you running, and what fuel are you using?

It ran fine for the first couple of heat cycles then I had to pull the trans back out and right after that the o2 went out. So maybe I did something when I pulled the trans?? Put a know good one in and it is running fine. Knock on wood. Speed Inc fuel rails, no codes most have been turned off due to the big cams I run usually have to tune it in open loop. Running 93 on a safe break in tune. Thanks for the help.

I have been having the same issue since upgrading my fuel system last year........loading up one bank of plugs. I finally tracked it down to a lazy O2 so inturn it dumped more fuel on that bank. Put a new sensor in and it's good again. It's just ironic sometimes that these things happen right about the time you change or modify something else. You should be good to go!

Thanks guys. Just wanted to be sure I didn't hurt those 4 cylinders. But I am being told rings should have seated way before that happened.

As long as you gave it hell during your break in period, they should be fine.

Thats good enough, the rings will seat after the first few mins of run time.

I guess I didn't hurt it too bad. It put down 560/515 thru a 9 inch tonight. Alittle lower than I was hoping for but it is thru a 9 inch and heavy twin disc. Will post a sheet tomorrow.
