Damage to torque converter. Ill take pics if I have to but ive got a couple of nice 1/16 or 1/32 inch deep gouges on the END of the hub on the torque converter. Im thinking of just taking my time and smoothing it out and it should be good.
1. Will this be ok?
2. What is the worse that can happen?
Its got a lot less mile than my stocker and I plan on changing them out.
What should I do?

Guess I forgot about this thread...
It doesnt look as bad as it seems. I think it will be ok. You can barely catch a nail on it but the flash makes it look like someone took a hammer to it

It more important to see the other side. Nothing touches the area shown in the pic, but the other side passes through the seal, bushing, and ends up in the pump rotor.
It looks like you can just take a file and smooth out the other side of it.

It was shipped like that. The box busted somewhere in shipping. I looked at it closely and .nothing touches that part of the converter because their are no rub marks(isnt polished).
As posted above I do believe my stocker is shot and this is in a lot better shape that what im currently DDing.
Plans are to file the end smooth and repolish it...
What are the negative effects of this?

Take it to a converter shop or a reputable machine shop and have them check the runout on the pump drive hub.
I can clearly see it's a stock converter, it's not worth shipping.

So I take it im better off cleaning out the one thats in it and using this one as a paper weight... awesome
