Default Anyone try the new MSD 2-step for LS cars??

I did a search on this 1st and didn't get anything on it, anyway i saw MSD is making a 2-step rev limiter for our LS cars in the new GM High tech and i was just wondering if anyone has used it yet or installed them etc.

It looks like they plug into the stock harness with out chopping up the existing wiring?

My car is a stick so i was wondering if i'd have to add a clutch switch or is it built in?

Not sure what part number you're referring to, but the '6010 (& '6012) have been around for several years. They're made for stand-alone operation, but will interface with the factory ECM with a separate (not included) harness. There's a blue wire for the two-step and a pink wire for the step retard, both are optional. These boxes allow for complete control of the timing and have provisions for MAP sensor adustable timing.

Nope not the same as the 6010 boxes, its a plug and play launch controller that still uses the stock high rev limiter.... part number is 8733
From Jegs its about $60 cheaper than the Lingenfilter one but the LPE box has a retard feature which is super cool.
I'm just trying to decide on one for my car.....

Summit lists it for $30 more then jegs, and says the availability isnt until 3/21. Sounds like a promising piece but the LPE setup is an already proven product, so thats probably what I will go with.

ya the lpe and synergy are proven peices. the lpe is cool because its plug and play but the synergy is nice because it has a toggle switch.

So the EFI system can run with only the 6010, msd harness, and PCM? No gm harness?
