Default No Forward Gears. Just reverse.

Well....

Was driving, got on the throttle, (car was warmed up). And it went into a "false neutral" let off. Rolled back on it, and it was fine. Well came to a stop, and BAM....No More forward gears. I only have reverse, and reverse works great (drove home 3miles in it,lol)

Pan was really hott. I unpluged the harness to see if its a solenoid problem, and same thingt. No no forward, just reverse. Trans has been fine latley. No slipping.

BUT, It has hit a "false neutral" or would jump out of gear and I'd let off, roll back on, and it was fine. it only did thing from a 40+ roll and a dead stomp on the pedal. Also I'd get a slight shutter from a slow take off or around a corner.

It didn't seem to start happening til I pulled the pan to replace the 3-2 down shift solenoid. Also the converter wouldn't lock up.

I don't have a scanner, so I cannot pull codes.

Have you tried to move the shifter to the lower gears? (manual 2nd or 1st) Sounds like an issue in the input drum of the trans. Sprag, forward clutch, or planet would be my guess. As Franky said it sounds like you are in need of a new transmission or a rebuilt. Vince

I was going to say the forward sprag like Vince had mentioned. Same thing happened with mine and it ended up being that indeed.

Same happened to my formula, one of my torrington bearings came apart and spread throughout the trans. Ended up having to get another case because i couldnt pull it all the way apart.
