Florida Members - Code delete

Can anybody delete a code out of my system i want to block off my egr and want the code to be gone. In jacksonville preferably. Thanks I can provide some extra change if need be no tuning needs to be done just one code turned off or deleted.

I think anyone with EFI Live or HP Tuners can.

i really don't know anyone i am a full time college student so i don't have alot of money if anyone could do it for me it would really help me out. just kinda need to fix this because i drive 80+ miles a day and gonna delete my egr since the valve broke twice and enough is enough since they are $100+

I thought, EFI live and HPtuners is for the LS1 guys... You'll need LT1 specific stuff. LT1edit or Tunercat or the Jet program maybe. I have LT1edit but, I believe its locked to my PCM and wont work on anyone elses ride (sorry).

For a simple code delete, you shouldn't get charged much from a tuner. I dont know this for sure but, damn, it takes like a whopping 10min of time to change the code and flash the PCM and your done.

Might want to ask around about just removing the EGR and living with the SES light on... I dont know if it will effect how the car runs,.... anyone, anyone?

Edit : dee-dee-dee... didn't realize you have the 3.8... oops... I dont know what programs work with the 3.8.

HPTuners does not support 96 and down 3.8's

thats the problem i am done with the egr. i know if you block it off there won't be really any difference but i hate my ses light being on. kind of annoying. hptuners can be used with the 3.8. I just would like to know if someone could help me out though. I know it probably couldn't take more than 5-10minutes to do this.

Buddy of mine has HP tuners w/ a laptop. We should be at sonic next weekend if we dont head to orlando for spring break. Were local in jax/fernandina.

You need a 97 PCM for that 96 Camaro. I had the same problem when I did my headers on my V6 and I just went to a 97 PCM and got the code deleted and had it tuned. Also gonna need HP Tuners. At least I could help with one problem on here. :D

FYI if you don't have credits for the 97, it is $100. If someone has V6 97 unlocked, they could be free, but unlikely....

Don't know why I forgot that. But yes. Good point. As long as they have ALL 97 unlocked and not just that one.

i think i might just go buy another freaking egr from autoone and put this one in the box and say it quit working. i purchased one last year and i know for fact it was on my account but of course they lost record of it. and the receipt i have you can't even see anything cause the ink faded away. i just don't wanna spend alot of money on it because i don't have alot of money. just makes u mad when u buy something and it breaks a year later.

I just looked through my toolbox and found an egr valve that I think came off of a 3.8. Does yours have the flat connector or the big triangular shaped one? If the one I have is right, you can have it.

IIRC It was the Triangular Shaped one for that year.
