Default New time.. but puzzled?

I came here to post my new time for my cammed camaro, its not that fast but i think its has potential, Now I just put a 373 gear in her, and wanted to see what she would do before i get she new injectors, heads and tune. ( along with a bunch of other goodies)

I was slepping on the tree.

React 6.40
60ft 2.03
1/8M 8.22
Mph 89.10

Only made one pass, on street tires.

she is a ls2 iron block 30 ovr 599/601lunati cam, fast int, and 90mm tb, thru LT headrs.

I dont want to sound like im WHINNING.. but my builder told me i have two bad injectors and she on a emissions tune???? what ever that is??

Besides the tree what do you guys think?

looks like you have the mph to be solidly in the 7s in the 1/8th as I'm told I have that ability with only a 86 mph trap

Remember that conversions are estimates based on a full pass (meaning a good hook and full power applied through the course of the run). It doesn't necessarily take into effect cars that back-hlaf the 1/4 mile better due to stock converters, a still spooling turbo or blower early on, etc. Your car could hit mid 12s easily with a good hook.

I was wondering.. why it seemed so slow to me, i have never had better than a 1.99 60 due to stock rear end..(oh and me not wanting to launch hard.. i leave at a little above idle) best run was 8.17 in the 1/8

cant wait to get new stuff, then i may drive that 2 hours to the 1/4 mile track near me ..in Al.

I agree with what he said, my car has a stock converter so I honestly think I would do better than 13.0 because it pulls sooo much harder on the big end.

3/4 of the way down the 1/8th I stopped the pull of a 430rwhp cobra I was racing who ended up getting me by .17 or .18 (I forget which)

i think the car is lacking power...a lot of it. an iron block ls2, do you mean an lq9? you have probably a low-mid 230* cam, fast 90 intake/tb and long tubes...i'd expect at least 93 mph. my lid/header ls1 car went 88 mph @ 3600lbs. car typically went low 7.7x and ended up being a 12.2x-12.3 (depending on how long it wanted to bounce the rev limiter between 2-3). i got one clean shift in the 1/8 and managed to go 7.65 @ 88.

yes, stock heads. my buddy has a cam only a4 car, full weight with stock ls6 intake/stock tb that traps 93 in the 1/8. it's not uncommon. hell my wife's lid/muffler car went 87 and it was literally a bone stock, full weight 99 car with 75k miles on it. stock clutch, rear, everything. i'm just saying i'd be looking for a lot more power, as you *should be making it.

Let me share this with you. In December 2006 when my car was 3,665 lbs. with the stock 91K mile engine with an LS1 intake and long tube headers only and the valve covers were never taken off ran the following numbers. It had a 3.70 gear and turbo 400 with ATI converter. I shifted at 6,200 RPM's

1.543 60 foot
7.533 1/8 ET
89.14 1/8 MPH
9.919 1000 ft ET
11.944 1/4 ET
111.17 MPH

Our 2002 6spd. Ram Air ran 8.25 in the 1/8 mile and ran 12.75 on the big end.

I hope this helps! Like others have said it does appear to be low on power.

Could it be because of the injectors?
