Default Engine ticking during acceleration

I ran the car with very low oil last weekend(my low oil sensor doesn't work properly!) I changed and filled the oil and have a loud "ticking" present after about 2k rpm. The car runs and drives but not as good as it should. It's a basically stock WS6 with 135k on it. Collapsed lifer(s) maybe?

Maybe a leaking exhaust gasket, if it ticks noticably under a load i would say its that. I'd have to actually hear it tho...

I know what you mean about an exhaust leak tick...this sounds like its coming from the valve train.

id see if you can get an engine stethoscope an use that to pinpoint the noise--work the throttle body cable with your hand while you listen around the engine.

I put about 200 miles on it since it happened the ticking has turned into a knock. A mechanic at a local shop told me its "the bearing" Should I get a second opinion?

Is it a low-toned "thud thud" coming from the bottom end? If so, that's a bearing for sure.

I've never experienced this, but I read a 'spun' bearing results from a loss of viscosity (low oil, pump failure) where in this case the crank journal rubs/spins against the bearing surface. However, what actually creates a thud sounds after this happens?

more than likely its a header gasket gone bad, spark plug loose, loose plug wire, or even the EVAP selinoid goes bad. Mine ticked and replaced it now no more ticking. But more than likely its header gasket if it ticks during acceleration and you can hear it.

The thudding is from the the bearing being loose from being ground down and not having tight tolerances anymore. It bounces around a bit causing the thud noise.

My car spun a bearing at 105000 these things happen and I check my oil at least once a week.

I agree with this guy I had an exhaust leak that made a horrible noise I thought my power stearing pump was going down hill fast at first but it turned out to be the header gasket after a closer look.
