yep...I hear ya...Back when the dollar was on par I was saving for school...now that I have money to do mods like a stall converter, and hp tuners, etc...it costs a fortune with the exchange rate...
But what really pisses me off is, I just came back from a road trip to the states a few weeks ago...gas down there costs $23 to fill the camaro...I just about shit myself...

The prices you see on cheap Trans Ams in the USA are exactly that. The lower priced ones have been driven the crap out of them and gone around the globe how many times. Poorly serviced and abused cars.
If you check Auta Buy there are top drawer Trans Ams that are $25,000 US or $32000 CDN. Get what you pay for
Our dollar is tied to the price of oil so when crude drops so does the loonie. This dip is only temporary within a year I'd guess it back up closer to par. Plus many of the world markets hedged their funds buy buying US dollars which drove it up so we got double donged and didnt even get the reach around.
Agreed with said above. Solvency and open eyeballs equal good opportunity right now for many purchases

That being said, while the canadian dollar takes its dump, the canadian performance outlets might have a fighting chance to keep their doors open, as some of they "loyal" customers may look into buying locally rather then online.
Yeah it sucks, but outside of the fact we want to mod our cars on the cheap, americans are buying out of canada as its cheaper for them, and canada is now spending money to assist fellow canadians.
All helps our economy.

Tell that to my leaking tranny that needs to be addressed very soon....and the fact that I save labour costs by buying a stall now rather then later...:bang:

that's true black-jacket it's still cheaper than here, i'm still live the parity days when i got my first ws6. but i quess i got to look at the positives since interest rates are at an all time low and the cars are cheaper than before. well i quess i'll wait and see if i can get another car for summer time.

Yeah I know how ya feel bud, i just bought a bunch of stuff from texas speed. The exchange rate ended up costing me an extra $400. Thank god i'm done buying stuff for this project, i feel kinda relieved.
