Default Cam for 5.3

I am putting a carbed 5.3 into a 78 monte carlo. Running a victor Jr intake and a 1 5/8 headers. Thinking about doing a Z06 cam. Would like 400 hp at the fly wheel.

What kind of power am I looking at with a Z06 cam?

I should also add that the car has 4.10's and has a nitrous kit. I will be throwing the 150 shot at it. If 400 at the crank isnt realistic let me know lol

I've done a fair amount of research on cams in 5.3l engines for my swap. General consensus is don't bother with the z06 cam. Get something like a tr224 or a tsp 224r. The smaller displacement and lower compression will make the cam act like it has about 6 degrees more duration than it would in an LS1; so a 224/224 cam in a 5.3l will act like a 230/230 cam in an LS1. Whatever cam you get, make sure you upgrade your valve springs and pushrods. With a 224/224 cam and 150 shot you'll be right around 400hp at the crank.
