Default New cam coming for the 427...

Jayson at MTI spec'd it out for Tom Garland who sold it to me with new Isky 6205s for $125 shipped D:, here are the specs: 252/244 .596/.596 114

Current cam is a wimpy ole R1: 232 236 .575 .578 114

What are your thoughts on how it'll do?

Hmmm I'm interested to see results. Might as well get a 1/4" drill bit and get the tb hole bored out. Should sound great at idle.

it should sound awesome at idle!

i'm currently running a 240/244 .608/.612 on a 112 lsa and it just about shakes the doors off idling at 980 rpm

And for power, you'll love it. Should have plenty of low end with some more top end power!

That is pretty big. I will be running a 242 242 .600 112 when mine is done. I hope this is not your DD and you are planning on using this as a race car. Good Luck. Bear

Be interesting to see how it turns out. I think it's important to point out that heads not cam is where the power is at on these cars

I am using a similar cam except standard split on my lil old 395 and there are no problems. My car is my daily driver and see 15-20k miles per year.
