Choices.... Drag Monster, or Graceful Agile Beast?
Sorry about the title . haha. Ok, so this is my situation. I have a '00 WS6 with 30k miles (still completely perfect), '00 Silverado with 100k miles (still in very good shape), and the '93 Z28 with 135k miles on it (not in the greatest shape, but still good). All the cars are auto's.
So the truck is staying stock (except maybe a muffler or something), it's what I drive the most usually. The trans am originally was going to be the huge power car, but I'm not sure I want to do that anymore since it's so nice and that kinda takes away from that...
So then I have the Camaro. I could decide if I wanted to sell it or not, but I decided to keep it now. Only problem is I don't know what to do with it now... My first thought was to make it my fun car and swap a 6-speed into it, and maybe strip it down for autocrossing and stuff. The other option is to make it the huge power car. Keep the auto and putting a stall in it, and slowly just building it up to a big drag car basically. Also stripping that out and making it light weight.
What do you guys think? This is just basically a fun car now. Maybe a DD now and again too if it isn't too extreme.

WS6: make it your comfortable fun bolt-on driver
Camaro: make it your racecar.
Truck: keep it as is.
Kinda my plan sorta...turn my WS6 into a drag car with some street manners and buy a clean stock LS1 for a fun car to drive around. Since your LT1 isn't as nice as your LS1 I would just keep the LS1 as is. Don't be like me and turn a mint car into a racecar step by step I think you would regret it when you have another car you could do that to.

Stranoize the WS6, six speed swap if you wish, and gut the **** out of the Camaro to be a drag car. Have both worlds.
I'm in the boat where I would rather corner, but have some spray waiting for install for the straight line. While I won't launch like a auto car, I'm sure the trap speed will be no laughing matter, but I won't have spent a bunch of money on a engine build.

i have both a ls1 trans am and a lt1 camaro. The trans am has exhaust and CAI and ls6 manifold, other than that, its stock. I drove it daily since july, rain, snow, sun, whatever, never once a problem. The Camaro I am turning into a street/strip car which pretty much will border the drag car side. They are cheap enough now that I figured it wasnt worth selling so id keep it for a project drag car. Check out the link in my sig for what ive been doing so far
