Painted Hood Scoop Well i have my red SS and what i want to do now is paint the hood scoop in black...can you all post some pics and tell me what you think i should be paying for someone to paint it...thanks

Re: Painted Hood Scoop Here's a couple pics of my painted stripes. I tried the decal 1st and was not happy. Of course you can't get the look like mine at the rear if you use decals. Price may vary according to quality of the shop and the care taken.

I paid around $450 but that was to paint the whole hood and to embed the black on the scoop in the clear so when you run your hand over it, you can't feel the difference in the painted surface.
