Default Timing chain replacement Q

I did a search and found some answer but not that much.

I'm about to order my cam kit in the next week and I'm wondering if I should have a look for a new timing chain and maybe gears too.

Right now I have TR22x cam and 918 springs in my car and I dont know since when the guy had it before me. Car has 100K on the clock and I have it since 89K without issue. Pretty sure theres a good timing chain in there since my shortblock has been rebuilt, but maybe not. I'll see when I'm there.

If I have to change my timing set, what you guys recommend to me for a good price? Is a LS2 timing chain a good idea?..Cam is going to be a Torquer 3.

The LS2 set will be just fine. I've run them in two of my cam set-ups and never had a problem. Good luck with the cam..I love my Torquer2!!

If you open it up you should replace the chain. Take this from someone who has broken two.
