Rear squeals when cornering under accel. This is on my LT1...
when i corner, usually a nice curve like a freeway off ramp, the rear end will have a HORRID squealing noise, almost sounds like metal grinding...it is awful! i am wondering if it could be body flex, making the brake pads squeal, or sumthin with the rear axle,(i have added limited slip fluid already, with no change in the prob), or could it be sumthin with my 17" ZR1s??? i had to grind the axle flange to get the damned things to fit, and the rim is still very tight onto the flange...thanks in advance!

Re: Rear squeals when cornering under accel. How long have you had the car? No chance it could have a mini spool in it is there? Otherwise, I'd start looking at brake disks for marks from rubbing the brackets that hold the caliper. I'd pull the diff cover and look at the oil that comes out and inspect the internals for damage.

Re: Rear squeals when cornering under accel. i habe had the car for a yr, and it started this about a month ago....it could possibly be rear end...the gears are whining like crazy, but i was told to add limited slip additive, but to no avail...still whine, still squeak under accel....it doesnt matter how lil throttle i give it, so long as its under throttle...which leads me to think rear axle...i dunno. gear swap i guess!
