Powdercoating calipers, what all prep is needed??
after i get my iRotors i want to get braided lines and have my calipers and baskets powdercoated instead of paint, what all do i need to do before i give them to a powdercoater or will they know what to do.

All you have to do is disassmeble the caliper. (remove the fitting, all the seals, and piston. Whoever is doing the powdercoating will take care of the rest. If they coat it heavy, then you will hardly be able to notice the castings, but if you want a for sure smooth professional look, better get to sandin'!

Ahh...you got me. I didnt even bother taking the time to sand them down and mine look good. Powdercoating is pretty thick in some cases and will cover all the little pits and whatnot. If youre really worried about it, then you might try asking in the appearance section, you'd have more luck there. Hope that helps.
