Default Need a recommendation on front tires for C5 Corvette 18 x 9.5" front rims?

I am in need of new front tires on my Camaro which sports C5 Corvette chrome rims which are 18 x 9.5" in the front. Actually, I have 18 x 9.5" rims all the way around for the front and rear. So what size would you guys suggest I go with? last time I went with Toyo's for the front which were sized at 245/40ZR/18 These tires looked like crap on my rims in the front like a donut or they looked like to round and not flush with the solid look of the rim. It felt odd seeing the way they looked as it was more round around the rim vs being n'sync with the style of the rim. I don't know if the tire size was to small last time but I know one thing it didn't look nice. What tire size should I be going with for the front then? Like I said before, I have all four rims at 18 x 9.5" with the rear tires I just installed at 275/40ZR/18 I'm sure the tire size for the front needs to be a bit smaller but I'm not to sure. Please advise...thank you!

275s work fine up front. You could go 295s out back and 275s up front, thats what I would do with those size wheels.

The rim sizes are all the same 18 x 9.5" for the front and rear. So you would go with 275/40ZR/18 for the front and 295/40ZR/18 for the rear just to confirm? Do you think there would be a clearance problem when turning? Would the front tires rub inside the wheel well because of the front tire size being 275/40ZR/18 vs a smaller size? These are real factors to consider before making the purchase. If you think I would be okay, then I'll go for it. Also, where can I find these tires used for the odd size of 295/40ZR/18 That tire size seems to be hard to find.

Update: From what I've been told it will be very hard to find the 295/40/18's. 295/35/18 might be easier although also hard to find. What do you think? I will be buying all the tires used so that will be the hard part but if I have two sizes to work with has just noted then I should be good to go?
Will 295/35/18 also work? Please advise?

I would recommend a 275/35-18 for the front. This is the stock C6 Z06 front tire size, but I would stay away from a Runflat tire if at all possible. Anything narrower than a 265 on a 9.5" wide rim looks too small.
Those 295/35-18s are the stock C5 Z06 rear tire size. Check the Corvetteforum, and Z06.net, if you are looking at used tires (in addition to Ebay, of course).

Okay, guys! thank you for your contribution and time on some recommendations on tire sizes for my Chevy Camaro 2000 Z28. I will be going with the following sizes now.

For the front: Brand: Dunlop SP Sport 9000 275 35 ZR 18 - new!
For the rear: Brand: BRIDGESTONE POTENZA RE050 RFT 275/40/18 275/40ZR/18 - used with 75% tread life!

This was all based on options, pricing and availability!

Sounds like I made a good choice on my tire selection. Anyone care to comment on this?

If you have the space, you might as well just throw 295s on the back then. And no you won't have rubbing issues with 275s up front. Our cars come stock with 275s you gotta remember.. And for the rear you should look into like 295/35/18 and you could pickup bfg gforces for around a 250-300 range, cheaper on ebay.
