Removing glue left behind from tint?
I just bought an 89 Prelude for winter/work/daily. Let the flames begin! Whats the easiest product to use to get rid of the nasty glue left behind from tint. I tried acetone, but its gonna take forever with that, plus its messy. What have u guys used? TIA

Be careful with that razor blade. I've seen them scratch windows, beileve it or not.
Some window tints use a glue that's insoluble by water. You might want to try nail polish remover. Its easy on your skin and works great.

I tried nail polish remover. I ended up having great results using MEK, a sponge, bucket of water, and glass cleaner for the final touch. Took about 15 minutes per window and looks awesome. Thanks 4 the tips guys!

I tried water and soap and it didn't work. I finally got shaving cream and a razor to work. When you do it just do a little area about 8"X8" so the shaving cream doesn't dry out to much and it only took me about 35 minutes to do the whole car.

Try using "Dissolve it". That stuff works wonders, and you can get it at any grocery store.
Either that, or anything with amonia in it. That's the first thing any tint place tells you NOT to use when cleaning your tinted windows, cuz it strips it right off. So that probably would work well.

I normally use Formula 409 and a razor blade to strip the adhesive. It works quite well. Be very careful around the defroster. One nick and that line won't work anymore.
