Hey guys,

Quick question. Several months ago when I had my nitrous setup installed, we went ahead and installed a Racetronix pump with the hotwire kit. My AutoMeter Cobalt gauge indicates that it typically has a consistent 62 - 65 psi of pressure, however lately it's been spiking up (irregularly) to 80 - 105. I can't figure out what's causing this.

Is it possible that the pump is actually pushing that much pressure or is it more likely that there's an issue with the fuel pressure gauge?

It is very unlikely that the pump will make that much pressure due to the internal regulator.

Your gauge or sender is likely at fault.

Increasing the pressure would be like increasing injector size and without tune car would start to run bad is it?If it still runs good probably sensor just get a mech gauge and check it out.

If it's not your sensor, then your regulator is hosed. More likely the sensor.

Thanks guys -- that's very helpful! The next time I notice the weird readings, I'll check the pressure with a mechanical gauge. Sounds like a call to AutoMeter is in order!
