Default Do I really need a new oil pan gasket?

Was at napa getting parts to put in my cam, and they told me I have to put in a new oil pan gasket.
I know I need a new timing cover gasket plus a water pump gasket/ crank bolt but a oil pan gasket?
What do you guys say?
Cars only got 60000 miles on it, anything else I need?
Oh, Thanks guys.t chain and gear set also, but that sholud be about it, I think.
Thanks guys....

You do not need a new oil pan gasket, just some RTV.

these metal gaskets are supposed to be reuseable. but mine at 100k did not seal after the cam swap. instead of chasing the leak i just pulled the pan and replaced it. when looking at the factory gasket it was in excellent shape considering the mileage.

Sometimes the gasket rips...reusable or not...took me 4 hours to replace the oil pan gasket in my car after I found out the gasket broke....JMO...Pulling the tranny and lifting the motor up to replace a gasket SUCKS!

All you have to do is drop the K-member. First you have to undo a few things, steering rack, a arm, motor mounts, but it comes out pretty easy. I didnt have to pull the tranny. Im about to do mine again cuz i cracked my oil pan somehow......
