Default If you want to run a dual stage 300 shot ................

150/150 shots.

How do you know how high the compression can safely be for a daily driver type car on full time 110 octane race gas?

why are you daily driving a car running on 110 race gas? or are you saying you have a daily driver that will run on 110 octane on the nitrous?

IMO, dont go high compression as it doesnt benefit that much on a big nitrous motor. stick with 11/1 type stuff and you will have a lot of fun with it.

I'm building a 454ci for my T/A, getting rid of my 427ci, its old. It will become a weekend warrior, just a fun car. So its going to have some power, both N/A and with the spray. Using a Harrop ITB intake and either Richards new All-Pros that he's doing some magic with or the new Edelbrocks when they are done. Don't care about gas mileage or the big cam I'll be using.

Thats what I was wondering really, is there a thing as too much compression when using nitrous......just like when going with boost.

And yes, I have the ability to just use full time 110 octane, there's stations every few miles around here. So I thought that I wouldn't need to have a stand alone tank system to feed the direct port spray. It'll be ready all the time.

11.5:1 cr won't run properly on 110 octane though, will it? Will I need the stand alone with 110 and just run pump gas full time?

Plenty of guys run high compression with big hits, but they spend a lot of time getting thier tune together. What are your goals?

Flat out, highway pull car. Mid and high power is important. Don't have drag tracks around here and its not my thing at all anyway.

I have an LSX iron block and I'm considering a 434ci (4.155 bore x 4 stroke) for more cylinder wall strength than the aluminum resleeved LS2 454ci (4.185 bore x 4.125 stroke). Smaller bore too on the 434 will give me more gasket.

434 iron
or
454 alum

??????????????

Iron. You're gonna be asking a lot from your car doing extended spray runs. Lots of heat.

When I do a run it'll be maybe one run, maybe two in a night. And that will only happen a couple times a week.

I'm thinking its gonna be close to 1,000 RWHP on the spray.....shouldn't I go iron instead of aluminum?
