Default Lanes true duals?? Anyone??

I found a true dual system for sale and the guy said he believed the system was Lanes.. I've never heard of them. Anyone on here using them? Also, the mufflers and X have a little bit of rusty looking spots on them. Anyone have any ways of making these things look new again before I put them on??

I've heard of them. They were made by a guy in TX and he had some great systems. I don't think he's still in business though. You could always just use a wire brush to nock the rust off and then use some high heat rustoleum primer and then a coat of high heat paint color of your choice.

Lane made true duals back when these cars first came out. He has great systems and if I could buy another set of his TDs for my current car, I would. For the rust, just wire brush it off, and paint it.

I had them fab up a true dual system on my 96 formula back in the day. He had a shop in Fort Worth and was probably one of the first guys to start putting TD's on F-Body's.

Not yet, seller sent me a few. Like I said, there is a little rust and stuff on them. I am going to go ahead and get them though if the seller will come off his price a little bit.

I had a set of these for awhile and they are very nice. As far as the rust just it with a wire brush and paint it with high temp stove paint. they will look like new.

Looks about like the same setup. I am going to get them if the price is right. Anyone know if I can do the same thing on my headers as far as the rust? The collectors are ate up with it..

Never heard of him...

Brush off the rust and paint it with BBQ grille black and you're set for years. It should be a Dr Gas! X - and all mandrel bent. Probably has regular Dynomax bullets - or Flo Pro Twisters. I sold them all day long years ago for $500+

Pretty cool of you to come in right there.. Do you think I could do the collector on my headers the same way??

The setup is supposed to be here on Monday. It has the Dynomax bullets on it. I have a question about that though. Aren't those Bullets hollow? If so, I will probably change out my mufflers because I would think that would just be retarted loud.

Yeah, it's changed hands a couple of times - and been through alot of changes... Wish I could have kept it.

Still #12 on the Stock Internals list here though!
