Mike, I would be scared of that. Most used cams sell for more than that. I might sell the one out of mine if it didn't get any damage from the engine failure. I think I am going to go a little bigger. It is a 226/226 .575/.575 114+4 LSA Futral FM-4

i would stay away. if the cam fails you can have some serious engine failure witch is not going to be cheap. and then you are going to for buying it.

There are a lot of threads on this. Who knows. He's got good feedback though. I would ask people who have actually used these cams for a true answer. My advice, save up a couple more bucks and get one from our sponsors. You can't go wrong there.

I saw on ad on Ebay for LS6 Street Replacement Cam (Comp Cam copy) except it had a slightly bigger LSA. I think it was Predator Cams.

I'd try one. I dont see the problem with them, they are real cams, just ground down to different specs.

I wouldnt even think of running one. I can see it now... heat treat gets worn through or isnt good, then the lifter and cam start chewing on each other.

Lifter comes apart while your driving.....done. Insert pictures from the "LS7 Lifter failure" thread...

I have been running a hotcam copy from him for about a year now with no issues... Paid $160 for cam and springs.

Dangerous words if you don't have personal experience. The problem with regrinds are they can often wind up below the heat treatment of the original cam. If that happens, then you will experience rapid wear. Basically your cam will go flat very quickly and it could wipe out your motor. Buyer beware!!

On a flat tappet cam sure, I could see issues with wear but on a mild roller cam? Sure using a monster cam that requires high spring pressure I would be concerned.

Yes even a roller cam needs to be heat treated. If the lobe surface is soft it will fail quickly and likely destroy your motor.

There is a new thread posted on this topic about every other day.

These regrinds result in a smaller base circle and you will need to check pushrods for correct length. Throw in the lack of proper hardening and I would not be a buyer.

I can show you some ugly photos of hydraulic roller cams that went soft because of bad heat treatment. Looks like a plow went right through the mud.

Hahahahaha!!!! I had a boy that bought a copy cam of a ms3 off of ebay the car did 307 stock and 288 afterthe cam and tune install. The install was done by pro's and everything check out. leak down, ptv valve seat pressure. Sooooo..... In short after driving it yep wipe out all his lifters and the grooves in the cam where finger deep. If my old laptop didentcrash I would post pics but needless to say you pay for what you get.
