HUD DTC on 2000 TA? WTF?

HUD DTC on 2000 TA? WTF? Why would a 2000 TA A4 be getting a HUD code??? I don't remember the exact code but it had to do with that. There is also another one, a restraint system code. It said failed to communicate with IPS? Anyone have a clue what the IPS is? These just seem really odd and they're causing the service vehicle light to come on. TIA.
