Go to autozone and get a replacement mast. The plastic line that pushes/pulls your antenna is broken... happens all the time. But of course, there are 2 good ways to replace the whole antenna system that I have heard about. Bitviper for a mini (fat looking) antenna... or the "tune trapper" antenna (google it), which can be hidden under your dash for a sleek design.

To kill the motor... just unplug it.

See post #6 Power Antenna Help

If you can still hear your motor, your mast is probably just gummed up and you can try the free (cost of mineral spirits) fix. If its really bad, you can get an AC Delco replacement mast for $35 online.
