Default new dyno and track times (cc503)

I have been to the track quite a few times lately and the car kept getting faster so i decided to dyno it also
the car is a stock headed 355, stock compression with a 503 cam with full bolt ons

there is only and 1/8 mile track around but the car went
on motor: 7.79 at 93 mph with a 1.8 60'
on spray(125 shot): 7.32 at 102 mph with a 1.78 60'

here are the dynos
on motor

on 125 shot

damn. That looks like a hard runner for what you have done.

What is done to the heads?

I love seein LT's rip these kind of times on a fairly small shot.

That's low 11's in the 1/4 if everything works isnt it?

Very nice dyno and track times. . is 370hp common for a 503 full bolt-on lt1?

its a 6speed swap car, best it would ever do on motor with the a4 was 8.3 at 87 but im still running the stock clutch as of now.
Over the past 3 months of just driving the car it had gotten faster, I had it dynoed right after i did the swap and it only made 351 hp which i considered about right. Now i havent changed a single thing since and it picked up 20hp but it runs like it did also. I personaly think its pretty high for a 503 cammed car but idk

thanks for the compliments

This makes me happy with my cam choice.

Now if I could just get the time to put it in.

Jesus, that's the highest hp cam only LT1 I've personally seen. The NA track times are the same as my cam only, 400 rwhp 2002 Z28. Sick numbers!

Looks like from the charts, you have valve float. The power falls off the cliff @ 5900 RPM. That cam should pull well over 6K RPM. I have been down this road. Better look into it.

Definitely a strong motor.

I'm not surprised of those #s, it has been freshened, most likely had good machine work, rings/pistons were set up right, i'm sure that extra 20 hp came from the rings sealing after break-in, plus i'm sure its been tuned, so that helps, yeah MOST will make 350-ish, but alot of them aren't freshened, you went .030" over, that 5 cubic inch is worth about 5 hp. The car is running really strong on that 125 shot, you must of been having traction issues to only get a 7.3, with that 102 MPH, thats solid 6.8 runs, now start working on the suspention to hold that 500+ ft.lb torque, i'll bet that car will go low 10s on a solid N2o run.

So whats the complete run-down of all the engine parts if i may ask???

I totally agree with you here..both valve float/ rpm issue and the fact it is a strong runner.
