I'm in the market for a set of ported L92 heads and I can't decide which way to go PRC from Texas speed or WCCH. Can some one post some results of either one.

You can't go wrong with Richard at WCCH. His L92's are a thing of beauty.

I also just got mine back from Lingenfelter....

All basically claim to flow the same, I think you just have to choose which you want.

Couldn't agree more. Above average results and quality.

There is more restraint required with L92/LS3s. If you after the intake runners you will mess them up. Results count, so chose your porter based on experience with those heads.

whose got the best deal on ported L92's?

The best deal I found is Texas speed, but nobody has given any input on them.

There are places you can cut corners on an engine build and there are places you shouldn't.

Cheaping out on a set of heads is about the worst place you can cut corners. You get what you pay for in most instances.

texas speed does not come with springs for 1199 and the lingenfelter come with 26928 springs for 1054.

That's strange, them being a sponsor and all.

WCCH is also a sponsor and a number of folks have recommended Richard. Kevin's (WKMD) car is a good example of everything working together. I give WCCH a couple of thumbs up. If you drove his car you'd probably get something else up.

The best overall bang-for-the-buck doesn't always come from the low-priced spread. (The double entendre was intentional.)

well when were talking about best deal out of companys such as texas speed, WCCH, lingenfelter, advance induction, etc i dont think it would be "cheaping out" by going with either one. all quality products

The original post asked for results and was trying to make a purchase decision based upon which ported head offered the best results. The postings subsequently changed to which head is the cheapest.

My point was, cheapest is not always best. Deciding on a critical part because it is $100 cheaper, is not a wise decision.

I fully agree that there are quality products available from those campanies, but picking one over the other on price alone will not yield the best performance results which is the ultimate goal.

You decide. The first 2 pics are an L92 head from one of the companies you mentioned. The larger pic is from WCCH. No contest in my mind.

What i was saying about the price of the two heads are in comparison to PRC heads and lingenfelter heads. Both of these are amazing companies that have produced great products. So if one company is less then the other isn't necessarily a bad thing if you can save a few bucks.

I can get access to a Superflow 1020 Flowbench. Id love to flow a few different heads indepentantly. I have a Stock L92/LS3 head and a Lingenfelter CNC head. Id love to get my hands on one WCCH, Livernois, etc... and see how they all compare.

Larry Meaux is so good and so busy that asking him for a bargain price would be insulting, in my opinion. He's such a nice guy that he probably wouldn't get angry, however.

94, have you ever worked with or bought heads from Larry?

yes he did my L92's, and without touching the runners and only working mildly in the chambers "cleanup" and vj my heads went pretty much the same as everyone else with less work. 351-226@.650.

I have Texas Speed PRC L92s. Ported and milled 0.030" with a cam that some rocket scientists here said I wouldn't even be able to run. They were cheap, delivered quickly, and I was very pleased with Texas Speed and the heads. I've put about 20,000 miles on them, and the car runs like a raped ape.

Depending on which rocket scientist you believe, if I removed my Volant and disconnected my Flowmaster Super 40s, I'd be well over 450. :D

Knowing what to do (or not do) is so very important. That is what makes LM's work valuable.
