Default LS2 quench ?

How far does the piston come out of the hole on a stock LS2? Trying to figure out quench/compression for my motor with 64cc heads and a .040 cometic?

So given that it would be .032 for my motor with a .040 gasket?

Yes on a cold start. Upon warm up, it will grow .006 if I remember correctly. At that point, you will have .038 for a quench.
